How long does a lamp last?
A conventional discharge lamp usually lasts 3 000 to 6 000 hours in normal mode, and even longer in ECO mode. You'll find the lamp hours in the projector's menu. Laser and LED projectors last 20 000 hours or more, have no lamp, and their brightness usually fades slowly.
Why you shouldn't wait for the lamp to burn out
An old lamp gets dimmer, and in some projectors it can shatter at the end of its life. The glass fragments then spread inside the projector, which makes cleaning much harder. If your projector tells you to replace the lamp, don't keep using it for long.
Spots in the picture
On LCD projectors, yellow or brown patches usually mean the polarising filters or LCD panels have been damaged by heat, often because the cooling is clogged. On DLP projectors, white or black dots can point to a faulty DMD chip, while flashes of colour suggest a problem with the colour wheel. Dust on the optics shows up as smudges. Once we've inspected the projector, we'll tell you what's causing the problem and what the repair involves.
Cleaning and filters
A projector draws in a lot of air. A clogged filter raises the temperature and shortens the life of both the lamp and the LCD panels. When we service your projector, we clean the filters, fans and optics. At home, clean or replace the filter as described in the manual, usually every few hundred hours.

No, we reset the counter for you as part of the lamp replacement.
My projector won't switch on at all. Is it the lamp?
Not necessarily. It could be the power supply, a fan, the temperature sensor or the board. Our diagnostics will find the cause, and then we'll send you a price.
Is courier pickup from anywhere in Czechia really free?
Yes. We collect your device and send it back to you free of charge. You only pay for diagnostics (890 CZK) if the device can't be repaired or you decline the repair.
How much does diagnostics cost?
If we carry out the repair, diagnostics is free. If the device can't be repaired or you decline the repair, we charge 890 CZK for the time we've spent on it.
