The worst thing for an inkjet printer is going unused for a long time. The ink in the nozzles dries up, and your prints come out full of streaks or with colours missing. We'll clean the head professionally and your printer will print cleanly again.

Good to know

How many times to run nozzle cleaning

Run a nozzle check first, then a cleaning cycle. If the print doesn't improve after two to four cleaning cycles, stop – each one uses quite a lot of ink. Manufacturers then recommend leaving the printer to rest for a few hours (roughly 6 to 12) before trying again.

Every cleaning cycle fills the waste ink tank

Ink used during cleaning drains into a waste ink tank with an absorbent pad. Repeated cleaning fills it up quickly, and the printer then reports that the ink pad has reached the end of its life and stops printing. That's why it pays to have a dried-up head cleaned professionally before the tank fills up too.

Print head in the cartridge or fixed in the printer

On cheaper HP and Canon printers, the print head is part of the cartridge, so replacing the cartridge is enough. Epson printers, ink tank printers (EcoTank, MegaTank, Ink Tank) and more expensive models have a print head fixed in the printer. We clean these by hand and flush the ink path to dissolve the dried ink.

How to stop the ink drying up

Print a colour page at least once every week or two. Switch the printer off with its power button, not at the wall socket – that's the only way it parks the head and caps the nozzles. Don't leave it standing for long with an empty cartridge.

Your questions answered

Can a dried-up head always be saved?

In most cases, yes. If the nozzles are permanently damaged, the head needs replacing – we'll then tell you the price and whether it's worth it.

Is original ink better?

Good-quality compatible ink works well. Poor-quality inks, however, dry up more easily and clog the nozzles. Don't mix different inks in one tank.

Which printers do you repair?

Mostly Epson, Canon, HP and Brother – both inkjet and ink tank models. You'll find prices below.

My printer prints streaks, but it's a laser printer. Can you repair it?

Yes. With laser printers, the cause is usually the toner, the drum or the fuser unit. Describe the fault in your order and we'll get back to you with a price.

Is courier pickup from anywhere in Czechia really free?

Yes. We collect your device and send it back to you free of charge. You only pay for diagnostics (890 CZK) if the device can't be repaired or you decline the repair.

How much does diagnostics cost?

If we carry out the repair, diagnostics is free. If the device can't be repaired or you decline the repair, we charge 890 CZK for the time we've spent on it.
