Good to know

Sunlight can burn the display in seconds

The headset's lenses act like a magnifying glass. When direct sunlight hits them, they focus it onto the display and burn a spot into it – Meta warns that even less than a minute is enough. So never leave your headset by a window or in the sun, not even for a few minutes. A burnt display can't be repaired, only replaced.

Battery and charging

The Quest's battery sits inside the headset, and on the Quest 3 it's hard to reach – the headset has to be taken apart almost completely. That's why this repair takes longer. If the headset won't charge, the culprit is often the USB-C port, which gets strained by playing with the cable plugged in.

Parts and repairability

Meta doesn't sell original replacement parts to the public. We use factory parts or high-quality alternatives, and before the repair we'll always tell you which part we'll use and what it costs. If a part isn't available, we'll tell you straight away.

Lens care

Clean the lenses only with a dry microfibre cloth, using circular motions from the centre outwards. Don't use alcohol, cleaning sprays or paper tissues – they scratch the anti-reflective coating.

Your questions answered

Do you repair Quest controllers too?

Tell us what the controller is doing. It's usually the buttons or the thumbstick; whether it can be repaired depends on the model.

Will I lose my games and settings?

Your games are linked to your Meta account, so you can simply download them again after the repair. If the headset needs a factory reset, we'll let you know in advance.

Which models do you repair?

Most often the Meta Quest 2, Quest 3 and Quest 3S. You'll find prices for the models we repair below; if yours isn't listed, drop us a message.

Is a repair worth it?

For the Quest 3 and Pro, usually yes. For older models, we'll tell you honestly whether a repair makes sense compared with buying a new headset.

Is courier pickup from anywhere in Czechia really free?

Yes. We collect your device and send it back to you free of charge. You only pay for diagnostics (890 CZK) if the device can't be repaired or you decline the repair.

How much does diagnostics cost?

If we carry out the repair, diagnostics is free. If the device can't be repaired or you decline the repair, we charge 890 CZK for the time we've spent on it.
