Why controllers drift
Standard sticks measure position with two potentiometers – inside, a contact rubs against a resistive track. Over time the track wears down and collects dust, so the controller reads movement even when the stick is at rest. On the DualSense, drift typically appears after a few hundred hours of play. It isn't a fault in one particular unit but a consequence of how the component works.
Calibration and cleaning aren't enough
Increasing the dead zone in a game or blowing out the stick hides drift for a while, but it doesn't fix the wear. The reliable solution is to replace the whole joystick module: we desolder the old one, solder in a new one and test the controller across its full range of movement.
Upgrade to Hall effect or TMR
For the DualSense, Xbox controllers and Joy-Cons, there are modules that measure position magnetically (Hall effect or TMR) without any contacts touching. There's nothing in them to wear down, so the drift won't come back. Ask us whether one is available for your controller.
Joy-Con: try Nintendo first
In the EU, Nintendo repairs drift on original Switch Joy-Cons free of charge through its own service centre, even after the warranty has expired. If you don't mind waiting for shipping, it's the cheapest option. After any unauthorised repair – including ours – this option will no longer be available to you. The programme doesn't cover Switch 2 Joy-Cons.

Your questions answered
Can you repair the DualSense Edge too?
On the DualSense Edge, the stick modules are swapped as a whole without soldering – you can even buy a replacement module yourself. If it doesn't work out, or something else needs repairing, we'll be happy to take a look at your controller.
Do you replace both sticks?
We replace the one that drifts. If the other one is worn too, we'll recommend replacing both at once – it works out cheaper than two separate repairs.
Is a repair worth it compared to a new controller?
For the DualSense, Xbox Elite or Pro Controller, yes – replacing the module costs significantly less than a new controller. For cheap controllers, we'll tell you honestly whether a repair makes sense.
Will the repair affect the manufacturer's warranty?
Any work carried out outside the manufacturer's authorised service centre may void the manufacturer's warranty. If your controller is still under warranty, try making a warranty claim with the seller first. We give our own 12-month warranty on our repair.
Is courier pickup from anywhere in Czechia really free?
Yes. We collect your device and send it back to you free of charge. You only pay for diagnostics (890 CZK) if the device can't be repaired or you decline the repair.
How much does diagnostics cost?
If we carry out the repair, diagnostics is free. If the device can't be repaired or you decline the repair, we charge 890 CZK for the time we've spent on it.
