What the cleaning involves
We take the console apart right down to the heatsink. We clean the heatsink fins, fan and air ducts, plus the dust catchers on the PS5. On the PS4, Xbox One and older consoles, we replace the dried-out thermal paste. Finally, we put the console under load with a game and monitor temperatures and fan speed.
PS5 and liquid metal
The PlayStation 5 doesn't use conventional paste between the chip and the heatsink, but liquid metal. It isn't replaced during routine cleaning – opening it up unnecessarily would do more harm than good. We only touch it if temperatures still point to a problem after cleaning, and we'll always tell you beforehand.
How to protect your console
Leave some space around the console – at least 10 cm at the sides and back. Don't put it in a closed cabinet or on a carpet. Vacuum the vents every now and then, and on the PS5 clean the dust catchers, which you can reach after removing the side cover.
Why you shouldn't wait
A console that overheats for a long time puts strain on the graphics chip, memory and power supply. Repeated heat cycles lead to soldering faults, and at that point cleaning won't help – the board will need repairing. Cleaning is much cheaper.

Your questions answered
How often should I clean my console?
It depends on where it lives. In a home with pets or a smoker, as often as once a year; otherwise roughly every two years, or whenever the fan becomes noticeably loud.
Will I lose my games or saved progress?
No, cleaning doesn't touch the drive. Your games, accounts and saves stay exactly as they are.
Will cleaning void the warranty?
Opening the console outside an authorised service centre may void the manufacturer's warranty. If your console is still under warranty and overheating, try making a warranty claim with the seller first.
Which consoles do you clean?
PlayStation 5, PS4 (including Pro), Xbox Series X and S, Xbox One and older models. We also clean the Nintendo Switch, although it gathers less dust.
Is courier pickup from anywhere in Czechia really free?
Yes. We collect your device and send it back to you free of charge. You only pay for diagnostics (890 CZK) if the device can't be repaired or you decline the repair.
How much does diagnostics cost?
If we carry out the repair, diagnostics is free. If the device can't be repaired or you decline the repair, we charge 890 CZK for the time we've spent on it.
