  • The laptop won't charge, or only charges with the cable at a certain angle
  • Charging keeps cutting out and the indicator light flashes
  • The connector is loose or the plug wobbles in it
  • The connector or the area around it gets hot

Connector or charger?

Some faults are caused by a damaged charger cable or the adapter itself. During diagnostics we test your laptop with our own charger to find out where the problem lies, so we don't replace anything that doesn't need replacing.

How we do the repair

Depending on how your laptop is built, we replace either the connector soldered to the motherboard or a separate connector with its cable. We also check the area around the connector, as a broken connector often damages the plastic casing. Finally, we test charging under load.

Is a repair worth it?

Almost always. The power connector is a small part, and the repair costs far less than a new laptop. It also stops an unreliable power supply from taking its toll on the battery or motherboard.

Yes. We replace USB-C connectors just like traditional power connectors. We'll confirm the price for your specific model.

How can I tell if the connector is at fault?

Typically, charging only works with the cable at a certain angle or cuts out when you move it. You'll find a quick test you can do at home in our guide on this page.

Is courier pickup from anywhere in Czechia really free?

Yes. We collect your device and send it back to you free of charge. You only pay for diagnostics (890 CZK) if the device can't be repaired or you decline the repair.

How much does diagnostics cost?

If we carry out the repair, diagnostics is free. If the device can't be repaired or you decline the repair, we charge 890 CZK for the time we've spent on it.
