What to do straight after a spill
Switch the laptop off immediately by holding down the power button and unplug the charger. Turn it upside down with the keyboard facing down (in a tent shape) so the liquid can drain out, and dry the surface. Don't switch it on to test it and don't dry it with a hairdryer. Sugary drinks turn sticky as they dry and cause corrosion, so it's best to bring the laptop to us as soon as possible.
How we do the repair
We take the laptop apart, check where the liquid has got to, and clean and dry the affected parts. If the keyboard can no longer be cleaned, we replace it. If the liquid has also reached the motherboard, we'll tell you after diagnostics what the repair involves and how much it will cost.
Is a repair worth it?
For newer laptops and MacBooks it usually is, especially when your data is at stake. For older devices with other faults, the cost may exceed the laptop's value. You decide once you have the exact price after diagnostics.

Your questions answered
My laptop still works after the spill – should I bring it in anyway?
Yes. Corrosion keeps spreading even in a working laptop and can damage the motherboard within a few days. Cleaning it in time is cheaper than a repair later on.
Can you recover my data?
In most cases yes, even if the laptop itself can't be repaired. We also offer data recovery as a separate service.
Is courier pickup from anywhere in Czechia really free?
Yes. We collect your device and send it back to you free of charge. You only pay for diagnostics (890 CZK) if the device can't be repaired or you decline the repair.
How much does diagnostics cost?
If we carry out the repair, diagnostics is free. If the device can't be repaired or you decline the repair, we charge 890 CZK for the time we've spent on it.
