How to check your battery's health
On an iPhone, go to Settings → Battery → Battery Health & Charging. A “Maximum Capacity” below 80% means the battery is worn out. On Android, where you find battery health depends on the manufacturer – on Samsung, for example, it's in the Samsung Members app → Phone diagnostics → Battery status. iPhone 14 and older batteries are designed to retain 80% capacity for around 500 cycles; iPhone 15 and newer for 1,000 cycles.
Why old phones slow down
A worn-out battery can't deliver peak current. Your phone would shut down when running a demanding app, so the system throttles the processor instead. On an iPhone, you'll see this as performance management being switched on. Once the battery is replaced, the throttling is lifted and your phone is fast again.
Original or compatible part?
From the iPhone XS onwards, if the system can't verify a battery as a genuine Apple part, it shows a notification in Settings and may not display battery health. This doesn't affect how the phone works. For every repair, you'll see in advance which part you'll get and how much it costs. Original Apple parts can be paired after replacement using Repair Assistant in iOS.
A swollen battery is dangerous
If the screen is lifting away from the frame or the phone won't lie flat on a table, the battery is swelling. Stop charging the phone, don't press on it and don't try to open it. A damaged cell can catch fire. Send it to us and we'll remove the battery safely.

Your questions answered
Will my phone still be waterproof after the replacement?
After the replacement, we reseal the phone with a new seal. However, nobody can guarantee the original water resistance once a phone has been opened, so please don't submerge it.
Will I lose my data?
No, replacing the battery doesn't affect your data. Even so, we recommend backing up to iCloud or your Google account before any repair.
How long will the new battery last?
With normal use, roughly two to three years. You can extend its life by not leaving your phone in the sun or in the car, and by turning on optimised charging or an 80% charge limit.
Do you also replace batteries in Samsung, Xiaomi and other phones?

Is courier pickup from anywhere in Czechia really free?
Yes. We collect your device and send it back to you free of charge. You only pay for diagnostics (890 CZK) if the device can't be repaired or you decline the repair.
How much does diagnostics cost?
If we carry out the repair, diagnostics is free. If the device can't be repaired or you decline the repair, we charge 890 CZK for the time we've spent on it.
